This shaper tip is very popular and can well be used not only for Rigoutat instruments. The form is relatively broad and wonderful results can be achieved with staples of 46 or 47 mm for a total length of the reed of 71/71,5. A nice warm sound and a very good responsiveness of low-pitched tones as well as a good intonation in higher pitches of the oboe.
